Well, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the website, so why not do so in the heat of the summer while business is a little slow?  I’d like to introduce myself to the internet and all of those reading this post (hopefully you found me through Google or your friend recommended me!) as the owner of Purple Sage Catering.  My name is David Ouimet and I have been here in the Golden Isles for quite some time now.  I started Purple Sage in 2005 after branching off from a different local catering company.  My goal was to establish a catering company that would use all of my previous experience in the catering field and add to the selection of caterers here in beautiful St Simons Island, GA (as well as the rest of the Golden Isles – Jekyll Island, Brunswick, etc.)  So far it’s been a great experience as I have catered many, many weddings here along the coast.  Purple Sage has catered at almost every wedding and party venue that you can think of and I love to see new venues!

In addition to catering, I specialize in ICE SCULPTURES!  I love to carve ice in new and interesting ways.  Back in November I carved a complete Ice Cream Bar – out of ICE!  The couple that got married love ice cream, so they really wanted an ice cream bar made out of ice.  It was a fun project to carve it out and deliver it to the Lighthouse, where they got married.  So even in this hot summer we can cool you off with an interesting ice creation (liquor luge anyone?)
